Without question, the most important religious trend of the last ten years was the massive, exponential increase in mega-churches, and the massive exponential downturn in small churches. Hmmm .. . big coincidence? American religion has become far less relational and embraces the anonymity of bigness. Kevin Swanson and Dave Buehner talk about fake community, fake relational life, and stiff churches. What would make for a truly relational church where people gave their lives for each other?
