What should you do with a special needs child? Should you just let him die? This program refers to a twelve-page, blow-by-blow article from The Denver Post documenting the 3-week-long death of a little boy deprived of palliative care. It is a macabre story. Worst of all, "Jesus" told the family to do it—and a pastor from a local church was there to "support" the family as they removed the feeding tube. In this touching and heart-wrenching program, Kevin compares two little boys with nearly identical physical disabilities requiring extra care. Simon is a blessing to all who love him, but Dylan was murdered in the name of love. So what is the difference? On this edition of Generations, Kevin speaks with Cheryl Nelson (Simon's mother), focusing on what a tremendous blessing Simon has been over the years. Simon was 6 years old when this program first aired six years ago. Today, Simon is still hanging in there, and his family continues to provide 24/7 care for him.
