Look Beyond the Speech-Making Part 3

September 7, 2012
We are obligated to look beyond that rhetoric full of promises opening up hope for a new world and a better life. The best filters to spot danger are the words of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of John records the following: "But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man” (John 2:24-25).

There is no doubt that politics have taken over the mind of the nation.  It is incredible how the mind fog has blinded people to the $16 trillion of National Debt which has put every household in America 130K in debt. If the voters don't look beyond the rhetoric of politicians we are looking at the demise of America in the face. God will not be mocked, what we sow we reap.

No one can deny that we are in full swing of the presidential election. As we hear the many speeches we decide what is real and what is part of the show.  God sets up rulers and brings down rulers but He expects us to know who to vote for that will uphold His values. Why does God deal differently with each ruler? Through what lens do we see our rulers? Is it merely through their speech-making that we decide who will be at the helm of our nation or do we have a deeper criteria then that?

For Years Sudanese Christians have suffered horrendous persecution at the hands of Muslims. Even though the nation was divided into North and South Sudan, with Christians taking refuge in the south; many Christians are still trapped in the North.  Christians have been impoverished and are extremely vulnerable. President Omar al-Bashir has made it clear that Christians are not welcome in Sudan. Frankly he’s repeatedly declared his intention to make the constitution of Sudan 100 percent Islamic, making Christians even more vulnerable. Here is an opportunity to help fellow Christians out of this predicament.

Why do we even celebrate “Labor Day” as a national holiday? Don’t you find it ironic that the majority of people welcome the long Labor Day weekend by not working the first Monday of September? My heart and prayers go out to all the 26 million unemployed and those among them who desperately want a chance to work and earn a decent living. To all of you I say: do not give up, keep an open mind and listen to your heart for an alternative that will lead you to generate the possibility of putting your talents to good use.

How important are the words we hear every single day? How important are the words we speak? It is important to note that words do not come from thin air.  Something inspires words which gives us a window to the soul of the speaker. In this election year, we are hearing many words spoken by charismatic people.  Accept responsibility and destroy the myths generated around a candidate. What is the rhetoric of their words really saying? Too much is at stake to be taken by personalities alone.

Lies are penalized sooner or later. They carry a big weight upon the lives of individuals and nations which ultimately destroys them. Here in our country lies have been and will continue to take their toll. God and His truth will not be mocked by anyone. God's truth wins out every time; God will never be outdone.

When people do not have the right teaching from the full counsel of the revealed Word of God they are robbed of God’s blessings, their faith is killed and the end result is destruction.

In many pastor's seminars in different nations where I have participated, one of the questions I have often asked them is in relation to John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." Who is the thief Jesus is referring to in this passage? Do you know?

Every true Christian is responsible to verify that the teachings they are exposed to do not contradict the rest of the Scriptures. Contrary to popular opinion the Word of God does not contradict itself, no matter how hard some passages may be, the Bible interprets the Bible.

Some of the outstanding effects of the First Great Awakening were that under God's Word people were united like never before with shared goals to make self-sacrifices and to serve one another. The message of the First Great Awakening formed the mentality of the Founding Fathers. The First Great Awakening also brought Christianity to the African slaves and amazing things took place. A nation like no other in human history was truly born.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
