Wisdom in Contrast to a Fool's Folly

Proverbs describes three types of people God calls fools (those who operate without wisdom). The stubborn fool is closed-minded, lazy and short-sighted; he refuses to learn or change. The flippant fool is arrogant, hard-hearted, rejecting God's ways, speaking against wisdom. And the spiritual fool lacks perception of anything spiritual, careless of the things of God. You can recognize these fools by their "fruit": they hate wisdom and back off from discipline; they shoot off their mouth; they're hot-headed and reckless; they think their way is right; and their lives are a disappointment. Their foolishness generally ruins and destroys their lives, unless they seek to follow God's wisdom.
