Object of Thankful Prayer

In a prayer of rejoicing, Paul reveals two things that mark a follower of Jesus Christ. The first is genuine faith: it is visible, known to all, and expressed through their daily living. The second is a love for all the saints (other believers). As Dr. Kroll explains, demonstrating love for other Christ-followers is important because it reveals genuine discipleship, it's a precious gift for the Spirit-filled person; and it is the gold standard for Christian living. We also learn from Paul the valuable practice of thanking God for the people in our lives and praying for them personally.
