This 5-part series explores racism, and hope and healing for a racially divided nation. In Part 2, Pastor Miles asks you to contemplate people you feel biased towards, consider them through God’s perspective, and challenge your preconceptions.
Miles McPherson’s new book, The Third OptionThe founder of The Rock Church in San Diego, speaks out about the pervasive racial divisions in today’s Christian church and argues that we must learn to see people not by the color of their skin, but as Christ sees them—humans created in the image of God.
The mission to SAVE, EQUIP, SEND has been our heart and soul since day one of Rock Church. Our vision is to establish Global Pervasive Hope; every street and every person. Through accepting Christ as our Savior and being equipped through Life Class and over 100 unique ministries, our process is designed to mobilize people to carry out the Great Commission Jesus gave up.
In 2015, Miles McPherson and his team discovered an opportunity to reach thousands of people through online gospel presentations. As of February 2018, they have had 81 million people view a gospel presentation from the Rock online, resulting in 1,190,035 people responding that they prayed to receive Christ!
About Miles McPherson
Pastor Miles McPherson played four years in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers from 1982-1985. In his second season in the NFL and after a weekend-long drug binge, he called out to Jesus Christ, accepted Him and stopped doing drugs in one day.
