The Witness of the Holy Spirit
But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us....

Did you know that the Holy Spirit became a witness of the finished work of Christ in our lives? The Spirit of God is given to the believer the moment they accept Jesus as their Savior; He dwells within their hearts. Read these Scriptures to gain a deeper understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit in your life:
John 14:26: “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
Romans 8:11: But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Ephesians 1:13-14: In Him [Jesus] you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
Again, the witness of the Spirit in our lives is based on the finished work of the Son of God: The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God ... (Romans 8:16). Furthermore ... God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” (Galatians 4:6). Through Jesus Christ and having the witness of the indwelling Spirit in our lives, we can now enjoy an intimate and loving relationship with the Father.
God assures us of our sonship by the quiet, persuasive witness of His Spirit, as we talk to Him and as we walk with Him.
