National Bankruptcies. The worldwide collapse of the Keynsian economy. Social disintegration. Birth implosions. What's the future look like for our children? My son will celebrate his 38th birthday in the year 2029.' Visionary men must understand the times and prepare for what lies ahead. They frame the antithesis, study trends, and prepare their sons with biblical character, biblical principles, and a biblical agenda sufficient to address the challenges that lie ahead. Profound changes have already come about since the 1960s. The character of the nation has fallen. The culture has moved from Nat King Cole's Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer to Eminem's Rape Rap. The debt-ridden economy continues to careen into oblivion. The Aborted 70's and 80's Generation is looking forward to euthanizing the baby boomers who aborted them. In order for there to be generations there first must be marriage. As the first human institution instituted by God, marriage is an essential building block of any society and quite necessary to ensure the future of society. Yet in America marriage has been under attack by the culture; even the civil magistrate has contributed to the destruction of this foundational institution through programs that contribute to the breakdown of marriage. With half of marriages in the church ending in broken covenant and divorce, it is time that Christians begin to go back to the Bible. In this edition of Generations Dave Buehner speaks to Jim Hughes about his book, C through Marriage- Revitalizing Your Vows, about many of the areas that Christian couples need to work through, by God’s grace, in order to have a blessed union.

The 20th and 21st century represent the era of social planning. Billions of people do what the experts want them to do. Never before have governments and the educated elite had so much control over the rank and file. When you can get 95% of education controlled by a liberal elite and 88% of media set to a certain amoral social agenda, the future is predestined (as well as men can predestine it). For example, Justice Ginsburg thought Roe V. Wade would limit “populations that we don't want too many of. . . “ Meanwhile John Holdren, the new Science Czar, writes approvingly of forced abortion and mass sterilization through contaminating the water supplies, and other fun social planning projects. Kevin Swanson explains the history of social planning in the development of our own modern Matrix. Then he points out that there are only two rebels that attempt to break out - anarchists and fathers.

How in the world can people be together AND very alone? We live in a lonely age, a very lonely age. But what does this mean for the church? Shall we build a Mega church? Will the slotted small-groups that last for 6 months help us here? What about the $200 per hour "biblical counselors?" You can find groups who pretend to hold on to the same set of 197 propositions. You can find programs and slots, transience and unresolved conflicts, everywhere. But what if you are wanting to see a cross-generational church, where grandparents worship in the same church with their great grant children? In an age where relationships are dying a horrible death, there are some who are coming together who are committed to this vision! It may be restorative to the vision of church in the 21st century! The death of truth with the modern church always parallels the death of relationships. Pastor Steve Walker speaks to his doctoral dissertation on the topic of authentic community, on this edition of Generations.

Is there any simple answer to this question? Over the last 30 years, we have seen a total revolution of the music in the Church, representing a radical cultural change more significant than anything seen in at least 500 years! Is this a good thing or bad thing? Now, there is an important question – a one billion dollar question. Does this radical change in culture and music indicate a wonderful reformation and revival in the church, among our teens, or is it just more of the breakdown of the institution of the family, generational continuity, and culture. Is it a breakdown of the faith? Dr. T. David Gordon, professor of Religion and Greek at Grove City College addresses these questions with a thoughtful new book, “Why Johnny Can't Sing Hymns,” and he interacts with host Kevin Swanson on this edition of Generations.

The gendarmes are shutting down lemonade stands all over the country, in constant assaults on child entrepreneurs and family businesses. A $750 million government grant is paying for rapists and molesters to babysit children in Illinois, so mothers can work outside of the home. Are our governments doing more evil than good now?
