A Christmas Story
To this day many refute the Christmas story as too far-fetched to believe. I clearly recall a young beautiful Muslim bride of one of our Church service men saying she could not conceive God being a man; that it's disrespectful to who God is. I am thrilled to report that soon her eyes were opened and she believed Jesus was God and received Him as her personal LORD and Savior.
In this three sermon series we examine the "miracle of Christmas" while laying hold of its relevancy and practicality to the 21st Century Christian. In these sermons we look at:
• The background of the Gospel writers
• The beginnings of the Christmas Story
• The importance of lineage
• The Baptist's parents in contrast to Hollywood
• Glorifying God in what we do not understand
• Why say "Merry Christmas!"
• There's something about the Name
• The power of "Light"
• The value of being "desertized"
At the close of the third sermon we take a few minutes to "be still" and "worship." With a fresh new perspective on the Christmas Story hopefully, like me, you’ll be moved to share the GOSPEL with renewed vision and zeal. May we say with the prophet: "[For] the new zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this." Isa. 9:7
