Dr. Kroll prepares us for an extended study of Romans by first looking at Bible prophecy. He offers several mistakes people make in studying it: they want a new way of interpreting the future, they draw poor conclusions and test Christian fellowship, and in their efforts to master it they miss that it's all about Jesus. He then gives 5 principles for studying prophecy: read the newspaper through the Bible (don't let the news interpret prophecy); don't link prophecy with every earth-shaking event; pay close attention to the little things; keep place references in mind; and don't be afraid to read those you disagree with but don't accept their interpretation without a challenge from their equals (test interpretation with experts or scholars).
