God Loves Everybody, Do You (Part 2) Episode 3

December 18, 2019

Do you find yourself listening to Bible studies and thinking, “How incredible is God’s love for other people...but not necessarily for me,”? It’s not difficult to believe there is a God who loves others because we don’t know what they’ve done. But when you think about believing in God’s unconditional love for you, personally, you’re challenged to believe it’s true. Enter Peter. God used him to demonstrate that no matter who you are, you are not too far from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. With our study titled, “God Loves Everybody, Do You? (Part 2) let’s join Pastor Jeff in Acts 10 in Sound Doctrine.

The ability to hear God’s direction for our lives is dependent upon a God that wrote a book that has endured for thousands of years. If He knows how to communicate to the world, chances are good He knows how to speak to us as well. As Pastor Jeff outlines the steps and principles that are in our study with Peter and the vision, he helps us to see God’s Spirit is able to lead and direct us where He wants us to go as well. His will and direction are characterized by the peace of God, not a fear produced within us. With our second installment of the study titled, “God Loves Everybody, Do You (Part 2)” let’s join Pastor Jeff in Acts 10.

The Bible tells us that God is sovereign; He possesses supreme power over everything. Not only is He sovereign, but His sovereignty is actively working in the lives of His people. When we tend at times think that something is out of control, Pastor Jeff says that God can give us visions to help us to understand and peer behind the spiritual curtain to see what’s really taking place and how the Lord is working through it. We find ourselves in Acts 10, and invite you to open your Bibles with us as we resume our study titled, “God Loves Everybody, Do You? (Part 1)” for our time in Sound Doctrine.

When it comes to showing His love to the world, the Lord moved Peter to share the Gospel with the Gentiles. And when they received the word, salvation came to that house. Pastor Jeff gives us needed perspective to show how much God’s love broke through the Jewish/Gentile border to accomplish this incredible act of salvation for the world! We hope this encourages you in your salvation: Jew and Gentile alike. With that in mind, let’s join Pastor Jeff in Acts 10 for our study titled, “God Loves Everybody, Do You?” in Sound Doctrine.

One of the most effective sources of influence for God’s power is the evidence of a person’s fruitfulness with the Lord. You can see the fruit of the Spirit in love, a hunger for the word, fellowship, and prayer. These are the source of strength of those who claim to follow Jesus. Peter’s life exemplified those characteristics because he was continually abiding in Jesus. Pastor Jeff helps us to see that as we abide in Christ, God will produce the same fruit from our lives as well. With our study titled, “Miracles in His Name Part 2” let’s join Pastor Jeff in Acts 9 for our time in Sound Doctrine.

The most important ability that God is looking for from you is your availability. When an apostle or spiritual leader passed away the church would pray and move on. However, when a sister who was used in a powerful and practical way, the church called for Peter. And through his availability, Peter came to the aid of a church that needed help. Pastor Jeff shows the importance of those who were used like Dorcas, and the need for those who are obedient as Peter was. With more on our study titled, “Miracles in His Name (Part 2),” let’s join Pastor Jeff in Acts 9 for our time in Sound Doctrine.

In the OT, Abraham’s servant was sent on a mission to find a bride for his son. As he went on his mission, he prayed and asked God for direction.  When he saw that God was answering his prayer, he thanked God and said, “As for me, being on the way, the Lord led me…” We see that same theme taking place in the lives of the believers in the early church. Pastor Jeff continues to take us through these dynamic principles of God working through those who followed God’s ways, and how the Lord works the same way today. Join us for the second part of our study titled, “Miracles in His Name,” Part 2 for our time in Sound Doctrine.

When you read the Bible you are immediately confronted with God’s supernatural miracles, and healing power. We have a God who suspends the physical laws of science in order to heal and do wondrous things. Yet at times, we can be tempted to ask why we don’t see those same things occurring with the same frequency and the same degree we read about in Scripture. As we finish our study titled, “Miracles In His Name (Part1)” Pastor Jeff acknowledges the question and gives answers why some didn’t experience God’s power then and now. We invite you to take notes to one of the most often asked questions, so you will be equipped when asked by others. Until then, join us in Acts 9 for our time in Sound Doctrine.

What requirements does God look for when it comes to being used by Him? What kind of a person is He seeking? Today Pastor Jeff helps us to see the people God used in the book of Acts were very similar to you and I. He gives a couple of simple principles that we can incorporate into our lives so that He is able to freely move through our lives to those around us. This is the second installment of the message titled, “Miracles in His Name Part 1”. With more in our study from Acts 9, let’s join Pastor Jeff with insights into Sound Doctrine.
