Do Not Meddle with Demons
Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.
Acts 19:16-18
The evil spirit in the possessed man made him aggressive. The Jews were attacked and overpowered. They did not believe in Jesus or belong to Him, so the demon-possessed man easily leaped on them. They were left injured and naked. They ran for their lives! Listen, if you are not a child of God, do not be in a situation where you are around demons. They can do you great harm.
There are people who like to chase tornados, and some who find it fascinating to chase demons. Demons are aggressive; they oppress and kill people (John 10:10). Do not meddle with demons. Satan is after people’s souls to take them with him to hell. Remember that!
On one occasion, at Twin Peaks years ago, a short, skinny, five- foot woman––a truck driver’s wife––became demon possessed. The police brought her to us because they could not contain her. They hoped we could help. A group of pastors tried to hold her down, but she threw us around like nothing.
Finally, we were able to keep her down. As we continued in prayer for hours, the demon, at times, would speak through her until Jesus finally came over her life. Once she was delivered and in her right mind, she began to share how she had been involved with the occult––Satanism–– and had sacrificed her baby to Satan––sad.
I prefer not to even talk about demons, but when it comes up in the Scriptures, I have to teach the congregation about them. Honestly, I have learned to speak more about Jesus than the devil. I want to think and focus more about Christ’s goodness––His light and His power.
The enemy will not see you vanish into God’s company without an effort to reclaim you.
