The Unsearchable Riches of Christ
To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ....
Ephesians 3:8-9
Notice Paul’s humble attitude. He looked at himself as the least of all the saints. He recognized that apart from Jesus Christ, he could not have become an Apostle. He was enabled to preach by the power of the Holy Spirit. Paul had the privilege of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ––the unsearchable riches of Christ––free of charge.
The Gospel is free to anyone who wants to hear and receive it. Christ’s unsearchable riches can be found in His grace, love and mercy! Salvation was hidden in the Old Testament, but was revealed by the Creator, Jesus Christ. He is Creator of all things! He did it all! When we understand who we are in Christ, then we can enjoy His unsearchable riches. Amazing! Amazing!
I find that people who sit at home thinking about all their problems miss out on the unsearchable riches of God’s grace. They often feel defeated because they are not allowing the Lord to minister to them. Christians who are in church listening to the Word of God will be touched by the Lord; they will receive answers for their problems.
After a time of worship and listening to the Word of God, believers feel 100% better. God gives us knowledge and wisdom to face and solve our problems. God’s Spirit empowers believers, and by God’s grace they live their lives. We should recognize that our spiritual gifts and natural talents are also given to us by the grace of God. Therefore, our God is to receive all the honor and glory for all His unsearchable riches we have in Christ!
Riches of love to sinners as such, and riches of pardon to sinners who repent, are stored up in the Lord Jesus Christ.
