National Day of Prayer

“...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14

Is there hope for America? When people of a nation gather together to pray for their nation, then, yes, there is hope. Often people say or sing, “I am proud to be an American,” and it is good to have pride in one’s country. However, there are unjust and unrighteous laws and a complete lack of morality that have brought our citizens to utter shame. If God is to move and bless America, humility is needed from its entire population to bring us into a right standing before our Creator.

America needs to return to God and right its many wrongs. Among us are violent and wicked people who would love to see our great country destroyed. People need a miraculous change of heart and mind. Where are the churches? Is the life-changing Gospel message being preached without compromise? More than ever, we need preachers of righteousness––holy men set apart for God––to minister to the multitudes.

There is a battle for the soul of America, for the souls of its people, and for the souls of its children. What will happen to the young if the old fail to teach them godly precepts? We will have ushered in an ungodly generation––void of knowing God, spiritually lost, youth who are drowning in hopelessness. Already we see the fruits of this godless generation. They are very confused, knowing little about what is right and what is wrong. Without any moral compass, they have debased and corrupt minds. God save them!

If we, as God’s people, humbly seek the face of God, pray, and turn from our wicked ways, then maybe He, in His great mercy, will hear our cries from His heavenly dwelling place and heal our land. God bring revival!

Today, may a flood of people with an urgency to pray join us on this special National Day of Prayer. Let us get on our knees and pray!

We have so many battles going on in America today that we should be a people of prayer. Our government needs prayer. Our leaders need prayer. Our schools need prayer. Our youth need our prayers. Our families need our prayers.
