Faith in God Our Creator
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Hebrews 11:3
When the word faith is used in verse 3, it refers to a true faith––a solid conviction resting on God's Word––that makes the future present and the invisible to be seen. However, have we seen an invisible God? No one has ever seen God. If I ask that same question to nonbelievers, they usually respond, “I have not seen God, and I will not believe the Bible until I see Him.” But what did Jesus Himself teach us about God? “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:24). Listen, no one will ever see God physically because God is Spirit.
How do we know there is a God? When you and I walk outside and look up at the majestic mountains or into the night sky to see millions and billions of stars, we stand in awe, and wonder, There must be a God? Yes, there is a Creator! Did you know that no two snowflakes are alike, neither are two blades of grass? Consider our four beautiful seasons––spring, summer, autumn, and winter––everything is in perfect order.
Have you thought about how rainwater travels down the slopes of a mountain, creating rivers and lakes? Have you considered how rainwater flows back into the oceans? What about how the clouds are formed? Water evaporates from the oceans, lakes and rivers, and clouds form; they, in turn, produce rain, and the cycle of precipitation continues.
All these created things do not happen by chance. We have a Creator!
It is amazing to see how everything is extraordinarily balanced. Science itself proves there is a God! Consider these Bible verses that attribute creation as being God’s handiwork. Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Psalm 19:1: The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Place your faith in God; He is the Creator of heaven and earth.
Don’t doubt the Creator because it is inconceivable that accidents alone could be controller of this universe.
