Let God’s Peace Rule

But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Colossians 3:14-15

The Apostle Paul told believers, “As a garment, put on love.” In our Christian life, love is a mark of maturity, and it allows people to know we are Christians by our love (John 13:35). Paul also encouraged Christians to let God’s peace rule in their hearts. Does God’s peace rule in your heart?

There is no peace to be seen in our world today! Many nations are at war with each other. Recently, Russia has aggressively invaded the peaceful and democratic nation of Ukraine. Innocent men, women and children continue to be slaughtered. If peace agreements are not met, it is possible that the world will see other European countries entering the conflict.

Russia has threatened the world with nuclear weapons. China may decide to move against Taiwan, and North Korea against South Korea. There is constant unrest in the Middle East. People are afraid this could be the beginning of World War III. Yet God has His master plan. I believe everything is building up to the conflict mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39, where Russia will eventually attack Israel.

These are the last days––an antichrist period––lawlessness is happening on our streets. Families continue to be under tremendous financial difficulty. High inflation has caused gas and food prices to go sky high! People across the entire globe are dealing with a great deal of anxiety, wondering how they will survive under so much financial instability.

I really do not know how people in the world make it without God. Despite what is going on around us, God is the only one who can give us His peace. Christians have a peaceful assurance that God is still in control. If you suffer with anxiety, let the peace of God rule in your heart. There is no peace unless you place your hope and trust in Him. Have you?

There will be no universal peace till the Prince of peace appears.
