A Revealed Mystery

...the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Colossians 1:26-27

Paul explained that the hidden mystery in the Old Testament had been revealed in the New Testament to the saints––believers in Christ. What was this revealed mystery? God sent His Son, and through Him people could be saved. God’s gift of salvation is available to anyone. When a person chooses to accept Jesus as their Savior by faith, they become born again of the Holy Spirit and discover God’s amazing grace (John 3).

It is very important to know where you going to spend eternity. When you die, where do you believe you are going to go? The Bible states there are only two places––heaven and hell. That is it! So whether you are an environmentalist, a Scientologist, Muslim, Mormon, Jehovah Witness, Catholic, hold New Age beliefs, or even attend Calvary Chapel, if you do not have Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then you will be separated from God for all eternity––plain as that. Some people get really upset when I teach these truths, but I did not make up the rules. Argue with the author of the Bible––God. I am just God’s messenger; I deliver His message.

In Galatians 1:8, is a stern and understandable warning not to believe in false gospels: But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. The Greek translation uses the word anathema. Accursed means “doomed to destruction, to be separated from Christ and His salvation.”

Understand what the Gospel message is so you, too, can be like Paul, who was able to expound the truth of the Gospel to the Gnostics and Judaizers, that “Christ is all in all.” There is only one true Gospel––Jesus Christ.

The cross is the danger signal to you. It warns you that if God spared not His only Son, He will not spare you. It is the lighthouse set on the rocks of sin to warn you that swift and sure destruction awaits you if you continue to rebel against the Lord.
