Suffering Persecution
Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 Timothy 3:12-13
Memorize these verses and let them sink into your heart and mind. If you live for Christ, expect to suffer. We are living in an ungodly world at enmity with God. Everything Christianity stands for, everything we proclaim, becomes an offense to those who are without God in this evil world.
Listen, we are living in perilous times! Therefore, expect to be hated and ridiculed for your faith. This could mean you will suffer persecution from your family, or you may lose some of your friends. If your coworkers know you are a Christian, the atmosphere may change, and work may become unpleasant and even hostile.
In the Last Days, there will be great deception––evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse. These kinds of people will lead people astray. The translation for the term evil men is simply that they are “bad and wicked” in their behavior.
Impostors are, in a way, similar to Jannes and Jambres, Pharaoh’s magicians who resisted the truth. They used the practice of magical arts, as in sorcery. Imposters identify with sorcerers, enchanters, witches and wizards. The word impostors means “seducers or a wailer to howl in which spells are cast.” As a Christian, make sure you are in the Word of God. Truth will always help you discern deception.
In the Last Days, there will be an increase in demonic activity. It is important not to participate in anything that will open the door for Satan to come into your home or life. That means not going to Palm Readers or playing with Ouija Boards or Tarot Cards. Understand, these things are demonic. Do not let Satan gain a foothold.
Consider how precious a soul must be when both God
and the devil are after it.
