Are You a Gullible Woman?
...having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the truth.
2 Timothy 3:5-7
Notice how deception plays a big part in the Last Days. People will have “a form of godliness.” There are times when you will meet someone who looks like a Christian, speaks like a Christian, and attends church like a Christian, but their life does not match. It portrays a completely different story. Someone mature in the faith would realize that they are not a true Christian because they lack a genuine faith, and the reality is not seen of them being a godly believer.
The way an ungodly person lives denies the power of God. They are, in reality, wicked. It could be that they are into pornography or sexual adventures. Ungodly men love the challenge of trying to seduce gullible women who allow them into their homes. Seriously, I warn you; they will destroy your life and your life with your family––big time. Do not invite them into your home; instead, turn them away! Get away from them! As a Christian, avoid them at all costs.
This is why Christians must continue to be in the Word of God––to be grounded in the truth. God’s Word will guard your hearts and minds from deception. Why were these women taken captive? They were not mature in Christ, and they easily succumbed to their sinful nature––sad. They had learned about Christ, but again, they never matured in Him.
Are you guilty of being a gullible person? Are you overcome by temptation? The knowledge of the truth needs to take effect in your life. God’s truth will set you free from sin; but after you repent, you are responsible to continue forward in your walk with Christ. This means a willingness to obey God’s Word.
Conversion is the turning onto the road,
the next thing to do is to walk on it.
