Believers Knit Together
...from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:16
In studying the purpose of the Church again, realize that the Church is made up of individual people. I believe with all my heart, many Christians do not even know their spiritual gifts, because churches fail to go systematically through the Bible––line upon line––from Genesis through Revelation. There tends to be a lot of preaching, which is for those who do not know Christ, instead of teaching. There is also entertainment instead of true worship.
There are pastors who try to do all the work in the church all by themselves. They are the ones preaching, teaching, cleaning, ushering and even parking the cars on Sunday morning! If a pastor is so busy doing these tasks, when will he have time to study the Word of God?
Understand, God has not only called pastor/teachers and evangelist, but each one of us to become a part of the body of Christ. That is why it is important for believers to discover their spiritual gifts. God desires to anoint believers to help in the work of the ministry. They will enhance the work of God as He places them to help in the work of the ministry.
It is important to be satisfied wherever God places you in the body of Christ. Do that work effectively and powerfully. Do not try to be something God has not called you to be. Remember, as God sees the needs in the Church, He will place you to fit like a piece of a puzzle, as not everyone has the same gift.
Christ is the Head of the Church, and we become one part of the body of Christ. I encourage you to start praying and asking God where He wants you to be. Make yourself available––period.
I am looking for the fellowship of the burning heart––for men and woman of all generations everywhere who love the Savior until adoration becomes the music of their soul until they don’t have to be fooled with and entertained and amused. Jesus Christ is everything, all in all.
