Time to Seek the LORD
“And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: ‘After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; so that the rest of mankind may seek the LORD, even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the LORD who does all these things.’ ”
Acts 15:15-17
James quoted from the Old Testament (Amos 9:11-12). What was James speaking about? When Jesus ascended from the Mount of Olives to return to be with His Father in heaven, two angels told the disciples that He would come again (Acts 1:10-11). At the Second Coming, Jesus will rebuild the tabernacle of David and bring in the Kingdom Age.
When Jesus came the first time, He poured out His love and grace on the world; but at the Second Coming, He will come as a Judge. Jesus will rule with a rod of iron (Revelation 2:27). This is why we need to have an urgency to tell our loved ones about Jesus while we can. We need to get our priorities in order. People need the Gospel message because Jesus is coming soon. That is why my one purpose in life is to help people find a personal relationship with God, which I believe comes through knowing Christ.
If you are a person who does not know the Lord, and you need forgiveness for your sins, come to Jesus. I urge you to seek the Lord now, and please do not wait. May God draw you by His love to come to Christ as you think on these insightful Scriptures:
Isaiah 55:6-7: Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
Jeremiah 29:13 NIV: You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.
Will you seek the Lord, forsake sin, and call on His name to be saved?
I am convinced that when a man sincerely searches for God with all his heart, God will reveal Himself in some way.
