The Infallible Proofs

...to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
Acts 1:3

Jesus suffered and died; then He showed Himself alive! Thomas was not with the rest of the disciples when Jesus showed Himself alive, and he doubted the account of His Resurrection. He said to his brethren: “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe” (John 20:25).

The next time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples Thomas was with them. Jesus said to him: “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing” (John 20:27).

Jesus showed the infallible truths of His Resurrection that could not be denied to His disciples. They saw the scars from His Crucifixion. In John 20:28 was Thomas’ immediate response: “My Lord and my God!” Jesus’ next statement causes thoughtful consideration: “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29).

In eternity, when we see Jesus’ glorified body, He will still bear the marks of Crucifixion. We shall see His scars and the nail prints in His hands for all eternity! The prophet Isaiah confirms this truth: And when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him (Isaiah 53:2).

Have you embraced the many infallible proofs of Christ’s Resurrection for yourself? Do not be a Doubting Thomas. Search the Scriptures as they testify the truth about Jesus Christ. The Word of God will solidify your faith.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is one of the best attested facts on record. There were so many witnesses to behold it, that if we do in the least degree receive the credibility of men’s testimonies, we cannot and dare not doubt that Jesus rose from the dead.
