Sins of Scarlet Made White as Snow

“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
Isaiah 1:18

Know this: As a Christian, you will never stand before God in judgment and be tried for the sins that you have committed in your life. Let me remind you of the great hope you have in Christ. When you repented and in humility asked God to forgive you from your sin, right from that point, your sin was washed away. He has washed you as white as snow! As a Christian, your name is now written in the book of life (Revelation 21:27).

Many times, Christians battle in their minds. Some believe that they are still going to be judged for their sins. Not so! That would not be true salvation. Everyone who has come to God in true repentance will take part in the first resurrection and inherit eternal life; they will not suffer a second resurrection and experience eternal death: Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power... (Revelation 20:6). Sadly, anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire [the second death] (Revelation 20:15).

Remember, our sins were judged at the Cross of Calvary. This is where Jesus became the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29). I know that we fall short; a believer sins daily. We transgress and sometimes willfully disobey God. As soon as you can, make it right before God. Come to the Cross and confess your sin, and God will forgive you: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us (1 John 1:9-10).

Know this: One sin will lead you to another sin. Keep short accounts with God. In times of temptation, keep accountable to another brother or sister in Christ. God can give you victory over sin.

When God forgives us and purifies us of our sin, He also forgets it. Forgiveness results in God dropping the charges against us.
