God Supplies Our Needs

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Philippians 4:19-20

Paul has been on both sides of the road––at times blessed with financial provisions, and then again, he suffered need and went without. In either case, Paul learned to be content with his circumstances.

God can teach you so many lessons about finances that are good for you to learn. Do not take the long road by making mistakes with your finances; be content with whatever God has given to you. Maybe you are having financial problems, but God is there for you. All you have to do is trust Him as He supplies your needs according to His riches. He will never fail in providing for you in His perfect time. This is a miracle of God––everything is in His perfect time.

God does not promise to supply your greed––but your needs! You are not going to get that which will ruin you, but what you need. What is your need today? It may not be financial, but physical or spiritual. Is it to get closer to the Lord––to hear His heartbeat? Then you will be content and not discontented like the rest of the people in this world––many of which are greedy, uncaring and unloving toward other people.

Ask the Lord for more of Himself than anything else, because then you will be very content in life.

A daily portion is really all we need. We do not need tomorrow’s supply, for that day has not yet dawned, and its needs are still unborn.
~C.H. Spurgeon~
