The Supremacy of Christ

God, ... has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Hebrews 1:1-4

God's final revelation to man has been given to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the final authority and the final revelation. He is far superior to angels, to Moses, or the priesthood that was established in the Old Testament. He came to fulfill the Law and bring us God’s grace, mercy and peace through God’s great love.

Within the first few verses of the book of Hebrews, we can begin to comprehend the supremacy of Jesus Christ. The word supremacy relates to His ultimate authority and power over all. Jesus is God’s Son––the second Person of the Triune God. He is Heir over all––Creator of all things. He is God over all and Sustainer, as He upholds all things by the might of His power. He is our Redeemer, our Lord, and our Savior.

He is Ruler over all. Jesus is King and Majesty. Jesus has been given a name that is above all names:

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord... (Philippians 2:9-11).

Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelations 19:16). He is Supreme. Will you surrender your life to Him, to be used by Him, for His glory? Worship the Lord and serve Him.

Majesty, worship His Majesty: unto Jesus be all glory, honor, and praise. Majesty, kingdom authority, flow from His throne unto His own, His anthems raise. So exalt, lift up on high the name of Jesus.
Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus, the King. Majesty, worship HIs Majesty, Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all Kings.
