Accept the Savior or Be Judged

For He [Jesus] is coming to judge the earth. With righteousness He shall judge the world, and the peoples with equity.
Psalm 98:9

The Son of God is coming in great glory! He came the first time as Savior, but in His Second Coming, He will come as Judge. Yet there are still so many people in the world who do not know Jesus Christ. Have you ever watched people’s expressions? It is easy to tell those who are very depressed from those who are happy and joyous. I feel sad for those who are depressed and have no hope in Christ.

I think about the rejects of this world––living on the streets. In Skid Row there is an area that stretches 54 blocks in downtown Los Angeles where you will find homeless people from all walks of life. These streets have become their homes. Homelessness is getting worse in all the cities across America. Who is going to share the Gospel with them?

Many of these lost souls have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ through different mission organizations, such as the Fred Jordon Missions––a hunger-relief organization centered in Los Angeles. They are dedicated to sharing the Good News among the poor and less fortunate.

I have traveled all over the world, and I think about the estimated 1.8 billion Muslims who do not know Christ. What about the almost 8.7 million Jehovah’s Witnesses? There are about 15 million Mormons. Think about Catholics and Protestants who hang on to tradition for salvation instead of Christ. What about all those Christians who have backslidden, and their love of Christ has grown cold. All these numbers add up. My heart is gripped with fear for them. Many will perish because of deception and unbelief. It is vital that they accept Jesus Christ by faith––salvation is free!

The center of Christianity is the coming of the Son of God into the world as a real man to destroy the works of the devil and create a new people for His own glory. The very heart of our faith is that He did this by obeying the law of God, dying for the sins of His people, rising victorious over death, ascending to God’s right hand with all His enemies under his feet. The second coming of Christ is the completion of His saving work. If you take it away, the whole fabric of His saving work unravels.
