The host of Bill Dance Outdoors is this week's guest on The Trail to Adventure! Gerry hooks up with Bill Dance at the Anglers Sports Association Show in Las Vegas, NV. Bill shares how he got started on the pro bass fishing circuit, then moved into a TV program. Bill also shares the scariest time he ever had on the water when a storm hit and he and his fishing partner came very close to losing their lives.

This program will have you laughing as Gerry interviews Christian comedian Ken Davis. The two of them discuss how humor can be used to share the Gospel. Ken also relates how he got involved in the outdoors, his love for hunting, and how he now pursues big animals like elk with the bow and arrow. The point made here is that laughter is a gift from God, and can be used to tear down barriers unsaved people have in order to share the truth that Jesus Christ loves them very much!

Ken and Gerry discuss the numerous ministry tools that have been developed to help people reach friends and relatives with the news of who the Creator God really is.

Keith shares how, as an intellectual, he got involved in a Bible Study mainly hoping to be able to put down the other people in the group and prove them wrong in their belief system. He also shares how he made Jesus Christ the chief executive of the business, and because of statements made in the catalogue he has been able to share Christ.

Gerry joins up with Joni Eareckson Tada as they relive the memory of Joni’s close encounter with a large black bear on a camping trip. Also discussed is how Ken, Joni’s husband, is using fishing as a way of reaching out to men who need Jesus, or need their relationship with the Creator God brought to a deeper level. Additionally, Joni tells about the special summer camps they have across the nation for physically and mentally disabled young people and adults. Her call is for men who might be willing to come along side these people and be volunteers at these summer events.

This week's program is a visit to a Pennsylvania church, and the discussion of how their game dinner is seeing men come to Christ. Pastor Neal Wintermute shares with Gerry the different things that the church has tried and is doing in relation to this annual outdoor outreach. One thing is for sure, they are well aware of the fact that everything they do throughout the year, including the game dinner, needs to be bathed in prayer from the day of planning to completion.

This week's program is an interview with David Morris, who shares how he got to the point where he is today, doing an outdoor deer hunting television program on whitetail deer management. David also tells the story of how, upon discovering his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, he felt the urgency to be sure of his spiritual position. He discovered the difference between David's timing and God’s timing.

This week's interview is with Chuck Buck from Buck Knives. He shares some tips on the sharpening and care of the products they produce, plus some history of the company. Chuck also tells the story of how his dad’s hand was almost cut off and crushed by a meat grinder. After the surgery, despite how it looked, God healed his hand. Without this having taken place, it is likely there would not be a Buck Knives today.

Dr. John Whitmore, who teaches geology and paleontology at Cedarville University, shares with Gerry how he became perhaps the world’s leading authority on fossilized fish. John explains how his exploration and studies of the fossil deposits found in the Green River Basin of southwest Wyoming led him to be able to get his doctorate. Gerry and John discuss the annual fossil hunt they do each August in Ohio, which is only an hour away from the Creation Museum. This week's interview is with one of the continent’s, if not the world’s, leading authorities on falconry. Floyd Presley has been training and hunting with birds of prey for many years. He also, after coming to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Creator, decided to use his hawks and falcons to reach others for the Lord. Each year he gets the opportunity to speak in numerous venues, and demonstrate what he is talking about with the birds that fly at his command.
