Our lives revolve around time. Could you imagine trying to navigate through life without it? When would we arrive at work, or know when to meet someone, or schedule an appointment without the time? God is also very concerned about time, and as we’ll see today there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.

As we look around it might be easy for us to conclude that things are spinning out of control, and wonder if God is really in control! So is He? Ecclesiastes makes it clear that God is sovereign and everything under His control has its season. God’s timing is perfect - ours isn’t. So shouldn’t we try to exercise patience and wait for God to act in our lives and show us the way?

This chapter can be capsulated in two facts: The pursuit of pleasure and possession is futile, and true satisfaction is found in a relationship with Christ. Here we have King Solomon, who had everything a man could want materially, and yet he felt empty and unfulfilled. Pastor Al speaks today about where true satisfaction is found.
