The Good Shepherd Part 1

Throughout the Word you’ll discover several I Am statements from Christ. One of them is, “I am the good Shepherd,” found in John chapter ten. And we are sheep in desperate need of a good shepherd. In John chapter eight - we find Jesus displaying the tender mercies of God to a young woman caught in a very embarrassing sin that could cost her very own life. She was brought before Jesus by the Pharisees who had a wrong view of authority, of the scriptures, and especially of people.

I think it’s safe to say most of us want to be well liked by others. But maybe you’ve noticed, if you live for the Lord and walk as Jesus walked, not everyone will pat you on the back. In fact, at times we’ll be hated. The world hated Jesus, and even His own family rejected Him. And we can expect similar treatment as well. When we’re hungry, we know what to do..... we either open the fridge and cook something up, or go out to eat and satisfy our hunger that way. But what do we do with our spiritual hunger?
