Seed-Time Ministries was born in the heart of a Pastor who recognized the life-giving potential encapsulated in seed Truth. The Lord took these messages from the pulpit, moving them onto the radio waves, they were later captured in book form and have made their way to this website. In the 8th chapter of Luke's Gospel the ground receiving the seed is that of the human heart. Whether or not the hearing of Truth germinates and multiplies is in the hand of the divine gardener and depends upon the condition of the soil.
Jesus opened the book and read "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised...". He closed the book, sat down and the eyes of all were fastened upon Him. "This day", He said, "this scripture is fulfilled in your ears". Luke 4:17-21
About Ashley Day
Pastor Ashley Day was born in Welling, England in 1928 and began his career as the Administrator of a school of languages in London. His life was turned upside down, when in 1954 at a Billy Graham Crusade at Haringay Arena, the Lord called Ashley and his wife Edna into the ministry. This commitment found expression as He eagerly began preaching as a circuit preacher in rural England. In 1959 the Day family immigrated to the United States and during the next sixteen years Ashley pastored three churches in Oregon before returning to England to minister in a church in Devon. In 1980, he was invited back to the USA to become the pastor of the Coeur d'Alene Bible Church in Idaho, where he served for 23 years.
Ashley retired from the Pastoral ministry in 2003, but during the following 11 years, he focused upon Seed-Time Ministries and his weekly radio broadcasts. These are heard throughout Africa and Ireland and are being carried by many local stations in the United States. Another focus of his retirement was getting the messages into book form; publishing twelve Bible commentaries plus an autobiography. Ashley and Edna, were married 61 years, have five children and six grandchildren. Ashley died March 29th 2014 three months after receiving the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
Seed-Time is continuing to flourish and links can be found to his audio messages, the current Radio Stations that broadcast them and commentary books at the recently updated Seed-Time website www.seedtime.net. The labor of love of those involved while he was alive has continued and we, his family, are excited to see what the Lord will do with this ministry even after He has called its founder home! Please contact us there if you have any questions about this ministry.
