Suffering God's Way Part 1

Someone has said “if you’re going through a difficult time keep going. Even the darkest hour still has only sixty minutes.” It’s easier said than done. And not to trivialize any suffering you’re facing but our aim is only to reassure you there’s hope and encouragement to be found in God’s Word, specifically First Peter. And that’s where we join pastor Jeff Johnson today on Sound Doctrine.

When a trial strikes, or we’re in the midst of tribulation, it’s easy to think something is wrong or that God must be mad at us! But today we learn that in this world we’re going to suffer and experience tribulation! And God can actually use you as a witness as you do suffer.

When a severe trial strikes it’s easy to think something is wrong or that God must be mad at us! But the truth of the matter is, every Christian will go through trials and it doesn’t diminish God’s love for us, or necessarily indicate it’s as a result of sin in our lives! Today on Sound Doctrine we continue to receive encouragement, practical instruction and eternal perspective for those times when we suffer greatly.

These are dark days, and people are afraid. But we can move from fear to faith, if we’ll look to Jesus and stand on His promises. That’s the emphasis of today’s study in the Word.
