We are facing a new year ahead of us, fresh clean and filled with all kinds of possibilities. Are you listing your New Year’s resolutions? We firmly plan to keep them until life happens and we find our enthusiasm deteriorating. Before you know it, they aren’t even a part of our lives any more.

We, at Living with Victory Ministries, have learned to ask God what He has planned for us to do each new year. The answer is usually astonishing because we wouldn’t have thought of doing what He is telling us what He wants us to do.

The basic mission of Living with Victory is to bring hope and encouragement to hurting people through the Gospel. We jumped into this mission back in 1983 when we started Compassion Children’s Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 charity to help seriously ill children get their treatments, who otherwise would have died when the hospitals sent them home and discontinued treatment due to lack of funds or insurance. We didn’t even know what a 501c3 was. We now are known as Living with Victory Ministries.

We bring God’s Word through podcasts, supply Bibles and devotionals to jail ministries in Haywood and Buncombe Counties.

God promises joy and help to climb out of your own despair when you find God’s mission for you and go for it! You don’t have to start a foundation, just go about doing good as Jesus did when He walked this earth. Open your eyes and ears wherever you may be and you will find someone you can bring hope and encouragement to brighten their day.

Take the time to ask God what purpose He has planned for you? One thing we can say, you won’t be bored. You will have challenges along the way but, when He is with you and you constantly communicate with Him, it becomes exciting to see how He is working it all for good.

You will find yourself saying “Out of my way, I’m on a mission for God.”
