A Covenant Relationship

February 2, 2018

As the son of a defeated royal family, Mephibosheth had everything to fear when David ascended the throne. But instead of execution, he received an invitation—to dine with the king for the rest of his life.

In this message, Dr. Stanley teaches us that God has extended the same kindness and covenant love toward us through His Son Jesus. There’s no need to fear when the King beckons you to feast at His table.

God, through His word, has provided believers all the assurance and confidence we need.   Remember that God is still in control—no matter how overwhelming or impossible the challenges may seem. We all know Jesus wept. But did you know He whipped? Even the Son of God got angry, brandishing a whip and driving out the vendors from His Father’s house (John 2:15). It’s comforting to know that as children of God we’re allowed to feel anger, but how do we deal with it in a healthy way? In this message, Dr. Stanley explains how to be angry and not sin (Eph. 4:26). Don’t let anger eat through your life—find freedom in confession and expression.

Yet those three letters constitute rebellion when we say them in response to God’s direct commands.  In this message, Dr. Stanley explains that partial obedience to God isn’t obedience at all, but rebellion. If we want God to use our lives for His mighty purposes, we must listen and obey His voice. Learn how to surrender your will to the Lord and walk according to His.
