We all know Jesus wept. But did you know He whipped? Even the Son of God got angry, brandishing a whip and driving out the vendors from His Father’s house (John 2:15). It’s comforting to know that as children of God we’re allowed to feel anger, but how do we deal with it in a healthy way? In this message, Dr. Stanley explains how to be angry and not sin (Eph. 4:26). Don’t let anger eat through your life—find freedom in confession and expression.

But. Such a small, simple word. Yet those three letters constitute rebellion when we say them in response to God’s direct commands.  In this message, Dr. Stanley explains that partial obedience to God isn’t obedience at all, but rebellion. If we want God to use our lives for His mighty purposes, we must listen and obey His voice. Learn how to surrender your will to the Lord and walk according to His.

There are many storms in life that have nothing to do with weather or the circumstances of nature. These storms have to do with peoples' personal and private lives, and they live in these storms every single day. In "God's Purpose in the Storm," Dr. Charles Stanley explains that God is committed to our good, but we have to respond accordingly when these storms come, otherwise things will not turn out for the best.

King Saul was anointed by a prophet, chosen by God to be king, and deliberately sinned. King David was also anointed by a prophet, chosen by God to be king, and deliberately sinned. So alike, yet one was called a man after God’s own heart and the other, a regretful decision. Why did God forgive David but ultimately reject Saul as king? In this message, Dr. Stanley illuminates the key difference between the two kings.

“It matters not how you start out. It’s how you finish your life that really counts," says Dr. Charles Stanley. One of the most tragic figures in the Bible is King Saul. What can we learn from a life that began with such promise, only to end so badly? In this message, Dr. Stanley gives a solemn warning: Even seemingly small acts of disobedience can derail us from accomplishing God’s best for our lives.

To whom does God speak? Only pastors, missionaries, and those who work in churches? No. He speaks to all of us.  In this message, Dr. Charles Stanley talks about the four types of calls that God issues to His people: salvation, sanctification, service, and accountability. The question isn’t, is God calling me? It’s, am I listening?

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick,” (Proverbs 13:12). Few among us are unfamiliar with the struggle to hold on to hope after a deep disappointment. Year after year, what was once a buoy can feel more like a burden. In this message, Dr. Charles Stanley shares encouragement from the life of Hannah in 1 Samuel. Don’t surrender your hope—God was faithful to Hannah and He'll be faithful to you.
