Really Smart People Usually Vote Liberal
According to recent surveys, only 5% of scientists profess to be Republicans. Most of the rest claim to be liberal, rational thinking, and well, you know, intelligent! They also tell us that the smartest states (with the most PhD's and MS degrees) are going to be Blue. It's the "du-u-mb" farm states and a few southerners that'll vote for the conservatives. So what gives? Are engineers generationally more conservative than scientists because they aren't on the government doll, I mean, government grants? Or is it just that the humanist university is by definition, the modern temple of the other religion that has taken over America - the naturalist - anti-supernaturalist metaphysic?
