Can God change the humdrum into something holy? Certainly, say authors Sara Hagerty and Barbara Rainey, when we invite God into those moments and tasks. Hagerty tells how practicing adoration of God has changed her heart and her perspective, especially as she prays to God using His Word.

Author Sara Hagerty and Barbara Rainey remind listeners that we were created to be seen first by God, and then by the people around us. We're supposed to produce a light that shines, but to do that, it's necessary to move closer to the source—Christ. God is available at any time, so we need to remember to invite Him into each and every moment of our day.

Dave Harvey and Paul Gilbert, authors of "Letting Go," describe what it's like for the person living with a prodigal and the fear and shame they likely face. Harvey and Gilbert explain the indicators that tell the person when it's time to release the prodigal and let them go.

When you love someone who continually makes wrong choices, what should you do? Co-authors Dave Harvey and Paul Gilbert remind listeners that even though you'd do anything to see your loved one restored to the right place, the prodigal mindset doesn't respect the fear or neediness of the person trying to love them. So the offended must exhibit a rugged love that draws boundaries, and must not enable sinful behavior.

Pastors Dave Harvey and Paul Gilbert address the weighty topic of rebellion and expand the idea of a prodigal to include not only our children, but anyone who's straying. Being a pastor has its benefits, as well as its challenges. Bible counselor Paul David Tripp talks about the pitfalls unique to pastors and those in vocational ministry. Tripp recalls the struggles he experienced early in his ministry when the chasm between his life as a pastor and his real life as a husband and father became wider and wider. Though his wife voiced her concerns, Tripp says he didn't listen until he had almost destroyed his life and ministry. Tripp tells pastors how to recognize signs of burnout and other common problems of the heart.
