Pastor Ron Zappia and his wife, Jody, had a marriage that almost unraveled after the first year. After giving their lives to Christ, however, they decided to give the marriage another chance. The Zappias share seven principles that, if faithfully practiced, will tighten the marriage knot and bring couples closer together.

Ron and Jody Zappia might have looked like a couple that had it all together, but their marriage was falling apart. After Ron's infidelity, Jody sought comfort at a local church, and instead of finding a reason to leave the marriage, she found a reason to live, with Christ's help. The Zappias talk about the day they surrendered their lives and marriage to the Lord, and how He gave their marriage a fresh start.

Ron and Jody Zappia, authors of "The Marriage Knot," thought that marriage would be easy, since they had dated on and off in high school and college. Jealousy over Jody's corporate success, however, led Ron to look outside of his marriage for fulfillment. Jody thought she would surprise him and return from her business trip early, but she was even more surprised to find that he wasn't alone. The Zappias share how God intervened and gave them the help they needed.

Marshall Segal talks to singles about the purpose of dating. Segal, who admits to having his share of dating regrets before finally meeting and marrying his wife, encourages singles to slow down and thoroughly get to know the person they are interested in. Marshall Segal, a writer and managing editor for DesiringGod.org, knows that most singles want to get married. But how do they prepare for that day, especially when they're not dating? Segal encourages young women to wait on the Lord and keep their eyes open for men who love godliness. You want a man to love Jesus first and foremost. No one is calling you to be joyful about singleness, but joy can still be found in the presence of Christ.

Author Marshall Segal explains what it means to live and date with purpose. Segal, who is a husband and father now, reflects on his single years and the lessons he learned while pursuing love and marriage.
