Barrett and Jenifer Johnson, founders of I.N.F.O. for Families, tell why it's important for parents to share God's perspective on sex with their children. Most parents focus only on telling their kids why they shouldn't have sex, instead of telling them why sex with their spouse is worth waiting for. The sex talk parents dread needs to become a series of talks about a variety of issues: body image, protecting your body, the problem of porn, and God's design for sex.

What are the family rules? When Karis Kimmel Murray asked her two daughters, she was surprised and amused by their replies, even though they were way off track. Karis tells how granting forgiveness is the #1 rule of the Murray household, followed closely by "be brave and face your fears, especially when you do the hard thing."

Life often doesn't go as planned, and that held true for author Karis Kimmel Murray. Murray shares how her five-year plan was upended seven months into marriage when she discovered she was pregnant. Ten months after welcoming her first child, baby sister was on the way. Murray tells how she and her husband adjusted to life's surprises, starting with letting go of perfectionism and being a good-enough, grace-based parent.

Just like God, who lovingly gives us what we need rather than what we deserve, parents are tasked with extending grace to their children. Murray illustrates what it's like to let grace define your relationships even when the other person disappoints you.
