Are Your Kids Driving You Crazy?

June 10, 2019

Moms Amber Lia and Wendy Speake can relate to the mothers worldwide who get frustrated with their kids. Lia and Speake talk about some of the 31 triggers that can provoke a mom to lose her cool. Lia, a mom to three boys, recalls the day when, alone with the kids, she emotionally snapped, only to be interrupted by a knock at the door. Fearing the neighbor had heard her tirade, she asked the Lord to change her from the inside out. Lia and Speake tell what you can do to become a kinder, gentler mom.

Author and Bible teacher Chip Ingram coaches husbands on how to live out Ephesians 5 in their marriages. Husbands, he explains, need to own the responsibility to care and nurture their wives, ultimately helping their wives become all they were made to be. Wives, on the other hand, need to be sensitive to their husbands, especially their fear of failure, and need to be available to step in where help is needed.

So many people marry for what they are going to get out of the marriage, rather than for what they are going to give as they supernaturally lay down their life for the other person. Author Chip Ingram explains the difference between a marriage covenant and a marriage contract, and talks about the biblical definition of love vs. the culture's idea of love. Ingram reminds us that conflicts and challenges are normal in any marriage, but they don't have to break up the union.
