It is written in Scripture that we are to be salt and light, especially in a world that is getting darker every day. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Jack Hibbs, senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, gives a moving presentation and challenges churches to speak up and speak loudly if we are to effect change in the culture for righteousness. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

According to Shirley and Danae Dobson, co-authors of Welcome to Our Table, hospitality has become a lost art amid a society where the pace of life seems to be quickening every day. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson invites his wife and daughter into the studio to discuss the finer points of gracious hosting. They point to Romans 12:13, which says, "Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality." Discover the delights of God’s love poured out through the breaking of bread with one another, in the comfort of your own home.

In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, we can sometimes lose sight of the reason for our celebration. On today’s edition of Family Talk, the late Pastor Adrian Rogers continues his presentation on the subject of biblical thankfulness. He highlights ancient Israel's approach to gratefulness in the Tabernacle, and how Christians today can honor God.

According to the late Pastor Adrian Rogers, “There is no other sin quite like the sin of ingratitude.” On today’s classic edition of Family Talk, we’ll hear a special message from Pastor Rogers on the word “sacrifice,” and how it is used in Scripture. Psalm 107:21-22 states, “Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of His works with songs of joy.” Be reminded that we must not take the Word of God lightly! We need to be grateful for all we have, especially as we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving Day here in America.

On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson talks with Dr. Furman about the early stages of their ministry and their commitment to not only save and heal the body, but more importantly, to save the soul by presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ to a hurting and desperate world. On today’s edition of Family Talk, author Eric Metaxas concludes his riveting message about America and what makes her great! Eric also warns that much like Gulliver in the land of the Lilliputians, we may possess the ability to crush the enemy, but if we are caught sleeping too long, we will be bound into submission by the moral decay that is sweeping our nation. James 2:26 says, “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.”
