Al Pittman

Complete in Christ part 1

April 2, 2019

To know Jesus and His attributes is to realize that there no reason to follow any other path but the path that takes you to Him. He paid the full price for our sins, and the rewards of living a life pleasing to Him, and accepting Him as your savior are almost impossible to put into words. That's what Colossians chapter two is all about.

For the last several broadcasts we’ve been Colossians chapter one.  As we continue the series today, we approach an interesting issue.  Do you ever feel as though your not up to the task, that you just don’t have the ability to do something?  The marvelous thing about the Christian life is that we are not called to rely on our own sufficiency, but rather on the sufficiency of Christ.  Pastor Al will address several precepts today that will help us get on a road to ministry that is beyond our natural abilities.

Today, pastor Al Pittman returns to his study of Colossians, and has us consider a situation most of us have faced at one time or another - feeling like our faith in Christ is not what it used to be. That special experience of being born again is something we never forget, but as we move along in life, sometimes that excitement kid of dwindles. Pastor Al is going to urge us today to continue in our faith, and he’ll use the words of Paul in Colossians chapter one to tell us how we can do that.

We’ll be concentrating over the next two broadcasts on verses fifteen through eighteen.

After several months of study in this glorious book of Romans, we finish it all up today.  And talk about finishing on a high note... it couldn’t get any higher than the glory of God.  In the closing verses we find a wonderful doxology that spotlights God’s wisdom and glory.  And through it all, Al will ask us, “Is the glory of God the theme of our lives?”
