God is patient, merciful, and slow to anger, but He is also righteous, and His righteousness will eventually lead to judgment. The sin of Sodom and Gomorrah caused Him to destroy them.

When God told Abraham, “Walk before Me and be blameless,” He was doing two things. He was promising to bless Abraham, and He was also reminding Abraham of his past failures.

Abraham and Sarah took a spiritual detour from the will of God. This resulted in ramifications that we still experience today. However, God’s plan will be accomplished.
