Steve Brown: I have a friend who was faced with following Jesus or marrying a woman he loved deeply. She was a convinced atheist and she wasn't going to change. My friend walked away and it almost killed him. I ran into that friend not too long ago and asked him about that choice and what happened to the girl he loved. My friend is now married with three children.
He said, "Steve, you're not going to believe this, but I don't even remember her name." Do what Jesus says, even if it hurts, and usually you don't even remember the name of the pain. It's called joy in the morning.
