Steve Brown: There's an old fairy tale about two brothers who grew up together. One of the brothers left home and lived a life so evil that a magician turned him into a wolf. One time the other brother was walking through the forest and was confronted by that wolf.
Instead of fighting, the brother looks steadily at the wolf with love and compassion. Gradually the wolf's features were changed back to the lost brother. Gazing at evil wolves with love and compassion—that's what Jesus did for us. And because he did, we can do it for others.
Change doesn't happen with rejection and condemnation. Love and compassion, on the other hand, will often do the trick. I'm Steve Brown. You think about that.
