False Professors Exposed

June 29, 2019

A Judgement Day is coming and we need to live in the light of that fact. Today's world lives as if there is no judgement but they are wrong. In the light of the Great Judgement Day, we need to be careful how we live and what we profess. We must beware of having a false profession. Jesus says that on the Judgement Day, false professors will be exposed. Their masks will be ripped off and He will declare, "I never knew you."

Many Christians today are being deceived by false teachers. Cults are full of former Christians who could not recognize their false teaching. Christians today are very vulnerable to being led astray because of their ignorance of scripture and the teachings of the Christian faith. Then, there are prophets whose lives don't live up to what they teach. We need to know how to recognize false prophets and false teachings. If we cannot recognize them, then we are very subject to being led astray.

Jesus has shown us how to live the Christian life and now He says enter into that life. This is the kind of life it will be. It is not popular. The world doesn't naturally enter into it because it is a way that is contrary to the way of the world. This is the way you are entering as a Christian. You need to count the cost before you enter this way.

The golden rule not only applies to our actions but also to our thoughts. We are to think of others in the same way we would want them to think of us. If we have evil thoughts toward our neighbor, we are breaking the Golden Rule. The Golden Rule shows us how to live as Christians but it also convicts us of sin and shows us our need of Christ and His forgiveness. Jesus tells us that the Golden Rule sums up the teaching of the Bible as how we are to treat our fellow man. In other words, all the precepts and commandments in the Bible that show us how to treat our fellow man are summed up in this one simple rule - Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you.

The Father has promised to give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. We must lay hold on that promise. We need a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit in this nation to bring revival. We must storm the windows of heaven with our prayers till He answers from on High and sends revival to this land.

As we go through life, we need to recognize that the Lord will be with us every moment. We should always have this realization of living in His presence. All we do and say and think matter to Him and we are always living with Him by our side. That's why Jesus encourages us to pray and to pray often. So many Christians fail to realize their need for daily prayer and communion with the Lord. We cannot live this life alone. We need the Lord daily. We need to be constantly coming before Him in prayer.

Living in the presence of God means to fear God, that is to reverence Him and live our lives accountable to Him with a view to that Great Day. We are to live in the light of God's Judgement Seat. Today, our society lacks the fear of God. So many Christians don't have much fear of God in their lives. We are not living in the light of God's Judgement Seat. Yet, this is what Jesus calls us to do.

We are living in a materialistic society that tends to avoid God. Christians are not to be that way. We are to live every day with God and in His presence. We are to trust in Him and not in our selves or our possessions. We are to live by God's Word on a daily basis and to rest our cares in Him. Living in the presence of God is a great blessing for God's people. Others do not have that blessing. We need to avoid living like those who know not God. We need to guard ourselves from getting sucked in by the world. We are members of the Kingdom of God and we live with our Father everyday. We need to look up to Him and know that He cares for us and wants the best for us.

We are put here for a purpose - to live our lives for the glory of God and to promote the kingdom of God in the world. We are citizens of Heaven but we live on the earth and while here we are to promote the things of Heaven - the kingdom of God - promote the reign of Christ in this world in men's hearts. Our primary purpose in this life, then, is to live as citizens of the kingdom of God. If we do this, God takes care of us. We need not fear. Those who live their lives for God's glory will be blessed in this life. Jesus assures of this.

Our devotion should be to God. He should receive the focus of our life not material things. This was what Jesus was teaching in the Sermon on the Mount. We should live our lives at all times in the presence of God living our lives with focus on Him and seeking to please Him. God wants our devotion. He wants our hearts.

We need to set our hearts on God. An eye that can see clearly and focus on the way ahead is good and healthy. So, if our hearts see clearly and focus on God, then our way in life will be good and blessed. This is the message that our Lord is teaching. Our hearts need to be in the right place.
