The Healing Word

In Psalm 51, we find King David at one of the lowest points in his life—broken by sin, burdened with guilt, and desperate for restoration. In his prayer of repentance, David cries out to God, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”

Pastor Jack Morris reminds us that even the strongest believers can lose their joy when sin, disappointment, or weariness takes hold. But just as God forgave and renewed David, He offers that same mercy and restoration to us today. Through confession, repentance, and surrender, we can rediscover the joy that only comes from walking closely with Him.
