Trust is a fragile thing: it’s hard to earn and easy to lose. All of us have trust issues—with people, organized religion, and even God himself.  This month we’re on the second of 3 messages that are getting honest about our trust issues, and we’re finding how God is ultimately the only one worthy of our trust.   Today, Aaron Brockett, lead minister with Trader’s Point Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana contends that it is a given that where there are relationships, conflict is inevitable.  And that way we disagree can break trust or build it.   When it comes to building trust, maybe we need to ask ourselves, what is the trust of others worth to us?  So… helping us wrestle with the concept of whether trust requires interpersonal conflict and what that looks like, here’s Aaron…

Jesus was a master communicator.  He used objects, humor, current events, historical reference, and poetry. But most of all, he told stories.  He knew that stories were impactful in the hearts and minds of people, that they remembered stories. He also knew that they were a way to help them gain a greater understanding about life: life with God, life with each other.   Our speakers this month; Mike Breaux and Gene Appel from East Side Christian Church in Anaheim, California, are sharing a few of deep powerful stories of Jesus, unpacking His teaching and the incredible impact they can have on our lives!   So… If God’s word was a seed, how well would it be growing in your soul?  Could it use a bit of Miracle-Grow?  …with a bit of spiritual gardening advice here’s Mike Breaux!
