This is a rebroadcast of our May 02, 2020 program. At 64, Gates isn’t kicking back in his retirement. In fact, he’s moved into a new field that impacts every single person in the world—health. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is the world’s largest charity and focuses on cures for illnesses, especially in third-world nations.Lo and behold, back in 2015, Bill Gates gave a TED Talk where he almost prophetically described the greatest threat to the world as not a nuclear weapon but a viral pandemic. Now in response to COVID-19 in 2020, Gates is advocating for vaccinating every person in the world against the coronavirus. What a wonderful ambition, right? Who wouldn’t want everyone to be healthy?...

This is a rebroadcast of our December 22, 2018 program:
The most significant event in history was the coming of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, into our world.
From being born of a virgin woman, to living a sinless life, to performing miraculous acts, to offering His life on a cross to pay the penalty for mankind’s sin, to rising from the dead, to ascending into heaven—all in front of a watching world—is beyond extraordinary. The only reasonable conclusion is that Jesus is who He claimed to be—God.
Christmas should be the remembering and celebrating of Christ’s birth. Yes, Christmas has pagan and Roman Catholic roots, and yes, the early church didn’t commemorate it, but setting aside a day to honor Christ’s coming into the world is a good thing.
But what Christmas has become is not. Take a look around our society and you will see that the Christmas season is characterized by shopping, busy-ness, drunkenness, Santa Claus, inane movies, and frankly, doing everything possible to ignore or remove Christ from the season (e.g. “Happy holidays and have a nice winter break.”).
Most of the world misses Christmas. But did you know that it was the same in the time when Jesus was born?
This weekend, we’ll examine six examples of those who missed Christ’s birth for varying reasons (based on the booklet, Six Ways to Miss Christmas), making sure we remember the Reason for this most important season.

And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:10-11
Three news stories dominated the headlines in 2020:
The spread and response to COVID-19Social unrest and violence over “systemic racism”The Presidential election with ongoing allegations of voting fraud
While a virus, racism, and an election may not seem related to one another, the first two were cleverly used to effect the outcome of the third…and thus shape the future of our country.
This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we’ll look at these issues that took center stage this year in order to prepare for the new year and a potential new political administration. We will also discuss how a compromised evangelical church has contributed to our current situation. And finally, we’ll discuss how hope in the Christ of Christmas brings peace in the midst of our uncertainty.

Last week in part 1, we discussed the reality of our Internet age that “the one who controls the information is the one who is in control.”
And so be informed: Big Tech Internet companies like Facebook, Google, YouTube, Twitter, and others gather every last bit of information on those who use their platforms so they can market products to you and influence your worldview.
God has given us a desire to know things and never before in history can so much information be known so quickly. This desire can turn addictive, evidenced by people being locked onto their cell phones or Internet many hours each day.
Big Tech Internet uses their incomprehensible wealth and power to influence the political realm, posting “fact check” warnings on content they don’t agree with, feeding news that aligns with their worldview, and not reporting on news that would harm their preferred candidates (e.g. Hunter Biden foreign corruption scandal).
This weekend in part 2, we’ll discuss how Big Tech Internet is and will become an even greater dystopian “ministry of information”, leading to the end times and the return of Christ.

Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? Romans 6:16 The one who controls the information is the one who is in control. That has become axiomatic [...]

The one who controls the information is the one who is in control. That has become axiomatic in our new age of Big Tech Internet. Companies like Facebook, Google, YouTube, and Twitter are not only some of the largest companies in history but also the most influential. They influence what people think about and what they should think about it!What’s more, these companies know how to keep you connected to their platforms through notifying you of content they know will engage you. They know you through your behavior online and the more time you spend with them, the more opportunity they have to make money and to influence you. If you don’t “comply” with their “standards”, they will just turn off your voice online...

Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 Peter 2:11-12 [...]
