Islamic Inroads In America

August 30, 2010

Guest: Erick Stakelbeck, Correspondent and Terrorism Analyst, CBN News “Therefore I love Your commandments above gold, yes, above fine gold. Therefore I esteem right all Your precepts concerning everything, I hate every false way” (Psalm 119:126-128). Islam is making deep inroads in America. You’ve no doubt heard the debate over the planned construction of a $100 million 13-story Islamic mosque and community center two blocks from where the September 11, 2001 attack took place when Islamic terrorists commandeered passenger jets and crashed them into the World Trade Center towers. Well, did you know that ten more mega-mosques are being planned all across America, from rural towns in Middle America to big towns on the East and West Coasts? So what’s the problem? Isn’t this an opportunity for Christians to show their love and tolerance for another religion as American Muslims exercise their freedom of religion? Shouldn’t Christians see this as an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ with Muslims rather than fearing others who believe something different from we do? Or, is there a more insidious side to this that Christians need to understand and do something about? Erick Stakelbeck, television correspondent and terrorism analyst for CBN News and host of the Stakelbeck on Terror program on Christian Broadcasting Network will join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss how Christians should respond to the growing Islamic influence in America
