The Christian Worldview

“Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.” 1 Peter 2:1-3 The Bible is called “the Word of God.” Think about that. We have written down in black ink on white paper the very Word of God. We can read His actual thoughts and plans, and learn about His character and nature. In the Bible, God reveals how we can be forgiven of our offenses against Him and be made right with Him, how we can live in a way that glorifies Him, and what is true and what is false—all immeasurably important issues for this life and the next. So the question is: If God’s Word is so important, why do Christians not consistently immerse themselves in it? And how can we grow in our desire for it? This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we’ll discuss how to increase our desire for God’s Word as we hear excerpts from a message by pastor John MacArthur entitled, “Longing for the Word” based on 1 Peter 2:1-10
